About Us

Our Story

It all started in Fort Wayne, Indiana, in 2018. I learned that I was going to be a Dad. After a long career as a radio DJ, I realized I needed to provide a better life for my family. I decided to take night courses at my local community college to learn video production. 2 years later, Ruby Red Media was born.

Our company is named after my firstborn, Ruby Mae.
In 2020 we welcomed our second child Poppy Ann.

Covid hit two months later, and I was facing a mandatory pay cut from my employer. At this point, I knew I could start a videography company, so we made the biggest gamble of our lives. During a pandemic, I decided to quit my job and move to a city I loved living in years before.

Memphis has always been home to me.
Ruby Red Media has experienced tremendous success in the past two years. All thanks to God and my family for giving me purpose.

Recently we were nominated for the best videography company by the Memphis Most. We have gained a reputation as a creative powerhouse in our short time in Memphis.

I would be remiss if I didn’t mention our General Manager and awesome photographer, Beck Bishop. Beck and I worked together at 93X WMFS in the early 2000s.

In the summer of 2022, Ruby Red Media was approached by Cumulus Media to become a partner for its digital marketing efforts. Our offices and studio are now inside the Cumulus Media building at 5629 Murray Road in East Memphis.

In addition to owning Ruby Red Media, I also fill in weekends on 981 The Max as my radio persona, “Twitch.”
